1. Ensure nails are clean and dry 2. If available, apply a base coat to the tip of the nail. UNDER COVER is perfect for this. It has a matt finish that help 'grip' colour and, when it changes from shiny to matt, tells you it's time to proceed to the next stage 3. When the base coat is dry, apply a coat of white to the nail tip. Paint the white polish horizontally across the width of the nail, ideally in one smooth sweep. You may find it easier to hold the brush still and roll the fingertip underneath the brush. It doesn't matter if the white goes onto the skin at the sides or comes down quite far into the nail as Leighton's technique makes it easy to tidy up and perfect the shape once the white is on the nail 4. When dry, use the CORRECTOR and PRECISION BRUSH to shape and tidy. Use the PRECISION BRUSH like an eraser, using little circular movements, and wipe away the excess white to make a gentle curve. Wipe the brush on a tissue between each use to keep it clean. Copy the shape of your own nail tip for the most natural result 5. Apply base coat over the whole nail including the tip 6. When dry, apply your chosen colour over the whole nail including the tip 7. Ideally finish with a top coat. Leighton's Crystal Finish is ideal.
